The Agile Group Adelaide Adrenaline have made a big splash with their 2019 import class by signing NHL Draft Pick Kyle Neuber.

The defenseman / forward was drafted by the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets in 2009. He spent time in the American Hockey League (AHL), East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), Canadian University League (U-Sports) and had a career in the Canadian Hockey League - Canada's top junior league. 

Standing 186cm tall, his career has been marked by grit, toughness and leadership. A simple 'Youtube' of his name will show you how tough this player really is.

"I'm like a rugby player on ice," says Neuber. "I'm excited to get to Adelaide and get to work."

Coach Jim Fuyarchuk says he thinks Neuber will help take the Adrenaline to the next level. He says he'll be ready to go by the time the Agile Group Adrenaline play Melbourne Mustangs on April 20 on the road, and the defending champion CBR Brave at home on April 27 (tickets --> http://bit.ly/AASingleGame19).

"Kyle will certainly add a physical presence to the Adrenaline roster.
He has always been known to play a hard working, rugged game," he says.

"Regarding his level of experience playing the game, he will definitely take a leadership role with the team."

Neuber arrives to town on April 10 and will suit up in Adelaide's exhibition game vs. the SA All-Stars (which you can get your tickets for here --> bit.ly/AAEXHIBITION19). 

Neuber says playing in the AIHL has been a plan of his for a while. 

"I heard about the AIHL back in 2012 and always wanted to come. But I was playing University Hockey and couldn't forfeit my eligibility. Then, after university the timing never worked out with playoffs in the ECHL. It all just lined up this year," he says.

Neuber didn't play professional hockey last season but is in great shape. He just finished his first year as a referee in the Ontario Hockey League - the best junior league in the world. 

"I attended an NHL combine for officials and figured I'd try my hand at it. I love the game so much and I want to make a career out of being official," he says.
