Kuprowsky resigns from Sydney Ice Dogs [Updated]
Thursday, April 24, 2014 - Submitted by Andrew McMurtry
Ron Kuprowsky has stepped down as the Sydney Ice Dogs head coach.

Assistant coaches Colin Downie and Brad Andrlon have reportedly also tendered their resignations.

Kuprowsky resigned on the April 14 and issued a statement to theAIHL.com earlier today saying:

“After discussing this with my coaching staff, we concluded that we will not break the trust of the players and will not continue with the Dogs in 2014. We wish the players all the best and good luck and will be cheering them on in defence of the Goodall Cup.”

A Sydney Ice Dogs board member said that they were still willing to meet with Ron and talk about some of the expectations of the coach’s position before moving forward with any other deals.

Dion Dunwoodie, Anthony Wilson and Mark Page have agreed to assist with the coaching of the team until a decision has been made on the future of the position.

The Sydney Ice Dogs will make a full statement soon.
