TGI Fridays: The Official Restaurant of the AIHL
Wednesday, July 29, 2015 - Submitted by AIHL Media
TGI Fridays has signed on to become the Official Restaurant of the AIHL. This will include financial investment, but also several benefits for fans including a 10% discount card available on the AIHL website and the opportunity to watch the AIHL Game of the Week in restaurant with $20 buckets of Coors (four bottles per bucket) every Thursday during the AIHL Game of the Week screening.

TGI Fridays Director of Operations, Amaresh Devanesen said they were excited to be named the Official Restaurant of the AIHL.

“We are thrilled to be the Official Restaurant of the AIHL,” Devanesen said. “At TGI Fridays, we are huge hockey fans and all our restaurants will be screening in-season NHL games and all the AIHL we can.”

AIHL Commissioner Robert Bannerman said there is a natural fit between TGI Fridays and the AIHL.

“We’re proud to partner with TGI Fridays as the Official Restaurant of the AIHL,” Bannerman said. “We believe no matter who you support, hockey fans are a community. It’s important to have a place that AIHL fans can unite, to watch the AIHL game of the week on Fox Sports, NHL games, and share stories.”

TGI Fridays will host the Official After Party of the 2015 AIHL Finals at TGI Fridays Melbourne Central (Level 3, 313 Melbourne Central, Corner of LaTrobe and Swanston Streets, Melbourne VIC 3000). Fans are invited to join AIHL players, coaches, and administrators from 7:45pm to late.

TGI Fridays is one of the world’s largest full service casual dining restaurant chains, with over 1000 restaurants in 61 countries. Although TGI Fridays was established in New York in 1965, it arrived in Australia in 1995 with the opening of the first restaurant at the Jam Factory Chapel Street, South Yarra.

Since arriving in Australia, TGI Fridays has expanded to 10 locations across Australia with eight in Melbourne, one at Macquarie Centre in New South Wales and one at Westfield Marion in South Australia. To look for your closest restaurant, visit the TGI Fridays website http://www.tgifridays.com.au/find-us/

To get the 10% discount card, go to the About Tab on the AIHL website and click ‘2015 TGI Fridays Discount Card (PDF)’ [Link] until December 1st 2015.
