The Australian Ice Hockey League is recruiting for a new member of the AIHL Commissionto perform the duties of the Head of Finance after Heidi Wilson tendered her resignation on 3 June 2019, and formally announced to Governors at the mid-season meeting on the 16 June 2019.
Heidi performed the role of Head of Finance throughout the 2018 Season, and took up the mantle of Head of Finance and AIHL Commissioner coming into the 2019 Season after the departure of Robert Bannerman. She was a crucial part of the success of the 2019 All-Star Game, and developing the partnership with the Ice Hockey Classic. She was equally instrumental in maintaining and growing our corporate partnerships.
After pulling together a new Commission in the off-season, along with liaising with teams, sponsors and stakeholders coming into the 2019 Season – no small feat – Heidi also took on the new role of Mum. With a new Commission convened from new and previous AIHL Commission members, she is now poised to take the opportunity to spend time with her now six-month baby and her family.
The AIHL Commission and Team Governors would like to extend their gratitude for the role Heidi executed with determination, diligence and a genuine love of the game.
