On August 27th and 28th we will announce the 2018 AIHL Award winners on Facebook and Twitter:
August 27th:
- League MVP at 11:55am AEST
- Defenseman of the Year at 3:25pm AEST
- Rookie of the Year at 7:25pm AEST
August 28th:
- Goaltender of the Year at 11:55am AEST
- Coach of the Year at 3:25pm AEST
- Skaters Network AIHL Local Player of the Year at 7:25pm AEST
Voting Process
The eight AIHL team governors nominated one player from their team for each of the five award categories. After all nominations were received, team governors then voted on each category.
Governors were not permitted to vote for representatives from their team. Governors voted for three representatives in each category, assigning 3 points to their top pick, 2 points to their second pick, and 1 point to their final pick.
Skaters Network selected the AIHL Local Player of the Year Award winner. |
