Kerry Goulet returns as Melbourne Ice announce 2025 coaching staff

The Melbourne Ice have announced Kerry Goulet will return as head coach in 2025.

Goulet returns to the club after taking the Ice all the way to their first Goodall Cup Final appearance since 2017 last season, only to be stopped by the Canberra Brave.

Joining him on the bench as assistant coach is Brent Laver. A former Melbourne Ice head coach, Laver returns to a full-time assistant coach role after spending parts of the last two seasons assisting the club part-time. Laver's son Jake is entering his 4th season for the Ice.

He is joined on the bench by Damien Newland from IHV's Melbourne Jets who replaces the departing Paul Rosen.

Melbourne Ice will open their season at home to the Perth Thunder on April 6th.
