Canberra Brave win 2024 Team of the Year Award

The Canberra Brave have won the 2024 Team of the Year Award at this year's CBR Sports Awards.

Brave CEO Stephen Campbell and a number of Brave players accepted the award at the awards ceremony at the Belconnen Arts Centre last night.

This marks the third time the Brave have won the award in the club's history, with the previous two times being 2018 and 2022.

Brave Team Governor Steve Moeller stated that this was "the perfect way to celebrate our 10th anniversary year."

"Being named as the CBR Sport Awards Team of the Year, for the third time, is really the icing on the cake for this great playing group and everyone behind the scenes that keep making the magic happen," Moeller said.

"The team fought adversity after a rough start to the season with a 1 win, 10 loss record hanging over our heads."

"I would like to sincerely thank our team staff, the management group, our wonderful sponsors, the incredible volunteers who turn up week after week, our fantastic supporters who truly are the best in the league - and finally the players who never gave up and pulled of what could surely be called a miracle Goodall Cup victory."

The Brave begin their 2025 AIHL season and Goodall Cup title defence on April 5th in Brisbane.
