The AIHL is pleased to announce the revised 2025 season schedule, following the withdrawal of the Sydney Bears and Sydney Ice Dogs due to ongoing renovations at Macquarie Ice Rink.
As per our previous announcement, the following preliminary changes to the 2025 season are advised:
- The season will begin on April 5th
- The league will revert to a single ladder of eight (8) teams
- Each team will play 28 games (14 home, 14 away)
- All games including finals will be streamed live and exclusive on AIHL.TV
Due to the priorities surrounding the rescheduling of the season and other business relating to the works at Macquarie, the revised finals format has still not been determined. The board and team governors will reconvene in January to confirm the finals format and an announcement will be made shortly thereafter. The full schedule will be also uploaded to the website during this time.
