AIHL announces Mark O'Brien appointed new Head of Player Safety

The AIHL is pleased to announce that Mark O'Brien has been appointed as the new Head of Player Safety.

Mark has been an official for over 30 years and has been involved with the AIHL in various capacities since it's inception in 2000.

He has officiated every level of hockey in Australia, from the AIHL to national tournaments including Ginsberg, DeFris, McKowen and Browns.

Mark is also one of the few officials in Australia to have his name on the Goodall Cup after officiating the Grand Final in 2009, the 100th anniversary of the cup.

Mark has been the referee-in-chief of Ice Hockey Queensland for the past six years and is looking forward to commencing the role with the AIHL.
